One of the best interpreters of Bosnian sevdalinka and a top performer and composer of newly composed folk songs, Muhamed Mujkanović, passed away on Friday, January 9th, at the University Clinical Center Tuzla, where he was admitted after a stroke, writes the BH News Agency Patria.
He lost his life's battle at the age of 74, and is survived by his wife Biljana. A few years ago, the Mujkanovićs lost both their sons, Damir and Igor, one in a traffic accident, and the other died during a fitness training session.
During his rich career, Mujkanović participated in numerous festivals, won awards, and brought joy to people with his songs.
