SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Professor at the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo Zdravko Grebo passed away this morning in Sarajevo after a short and severe illness at the age of 72. He taught at the Faculty of Law for more than 40 years.
Professor Grebo was born on July 30, 1947, in Mostar. He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo in 1970. He completed his postgraduate studies and doctorate at the University of Belgrade.
He worked as a full professor at the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo. He was the founder of the city radio ZID, founder and director of the Publishing House ZID, member of the Executive Board of Bosnian Peace Corps, founder of HCA for ex-Yu, director of the Legal Centre FOD BiH, director of the international postgraduate course "European Studies" and founder of Open Society Fund BiH.
He received the European Club Award for Peace and Against Racism and Xenophobia in 1994, the Roosevelt Medal in 1994, and the French Legion of Honour in 2003.
He published several books, including: "Marks and Kelsen", "The Legal System of SFRY", "Contemporary American Legal Theory", "New Constitution of BiH", and "Elements of European Law".
