(Patria) - After a short and severe illness, at the age of 40, Dr. Velid Efendić passed away yesterday.
He was a professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Sarajevo in the field of banking and Islamic banking and finance.
Dr. Efendić was actively involved in the establishment and organization of the SEBS Banking Academy as well as the Center for Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance.
He is one of the founders and a member of the board of directors of the European Association for Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance.
Notice of the funeral will be announced later.
