Famous singer Marinko Rokvić passed away

(Patria) - Singer Marinko Rokvić passed away today in Belgrade at the age of 68, Telegraf.rs has confirmed.

As a reminder, information recently appeared in the public that Marinko was hospitalized and that his health condition was critical.

He was born on January 27, 1954, in Bosanski Petrovac. Marinko and his brother showed an interest in music from an early age and played the accordion.

Besides music, Marinko also loved to play football. After finishing primary school, he came to Belgrade, wanting to enroll in a music school. However, all places were filled, except for the clarinet department, but Marinko decided to attend an electrical engineering school and joined the cultural-artistic society "Nikola Tesla", where he sang.

He recorded his first record in 1974. In 1977, he had a very notable performance at the Ilidža festival, where he sang the song "Momak veseljak" by composer Budimir Buco Jovanović. In 1978, he performed at the same festival with the song "Zanijela me svjetla velikoga grada", and then in 1980 with the song "Snjegovi bijeli opet veju", which became a big hit.
