At least 31 pilgrims died yesterday in Mecca, Saudi media reported, according to the Patria agency.
The cause of death of the pilgrims, who arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform the fifth Islamic duty, Hajj, is still unknown.
Saudi media confirmed that all deceased were foreign nationals.
This year's Hajj in Mecca and Medina will be attended by more than two million pilgrims from all over the world, and about 650,000 have already arrived.
