Young man who jumped from a bridge in Bistrik dies; his friend did the same in 2012

A young man with initials K. A. (1989), who jumped from a bridge on Bistrik in Put Mladih Muslimana street on Tuesday evening, died from his injuries at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

He sustained severe bodily injuries to all vital organs due to a fall from a height of 25 meters.

- Despite the doctors' efforts to keep the patient alive, he unfortunately lost his battle for life at 11:28 p.m. - said Muamera Šehić, spokesperson for the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, for the Patria agency.

The motives for this act are unknown, but the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton states that it was a suicide. As the Patria agency learns, from the same location on March 27, 2012, a young man M.K. (1983) also jumped, fell into a coma, and died a few days later. Unofficially, these two young men were friends.
