Legendary journalist Zija Dizdarević passes away

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Legendary journalist and publicist Zija Dizdarević passed away today at the age of 75, reports "Oslobođenje". Dizdarević worked in journalism for almost five decades, a good part of which he spent at the oldest daily newspaper in BiH, Oslobođenje.

He also wrote for other editions of Oslobođenje (Svijet, Sezam), as well as Spektar, Dane, and Sarajevo's Republika. Outside of his primary newspaper, he collaborated the longest with Belgrade's Politika (1971-1991), a newspaper of international repute, with the approval of Oslobođenje's management and, as he stated, at the suggestion of journalistic giants Zulfo Bostandžić, Dejan Divljan, and Politika star Miroslav Radojčić.

Information about the time of the final farewell will be announced after cremation. "The family will receive condolences at the cemetery in accordance with the epidemiological situation," said his son Bojan.
