Giga from Better Life Also Passed Away

(Patria) - Actor Marko Nikolić passed away at the age of 73 at the Zvezdara hospital, RTS has confirmed.

Nikolić was born in Kraljevo on October 20, 1946. He graduated in acting from the Academy for Theatre, Film, Radio and Television in Belgrade.

He has been a member of the National Theatre since 1970. He performed in theatre, film, and television.

He gained television fame with the leading role in the TV series "Better Life" (1987, 1990), as well as the role of Karađorđe, in several TV dramas and in the series Vuk Karadžić.

Nikolić was best known for the role of Dragiša Popadić, nicknamed "Giga Moravac" from the series "Better Life".

He received several awards for his acting achievements.
