Goražde businessman Hasan Tafro passed away

(Patria) - Long-time businessman Hasan Tafro passed away in Goražde at the age of 73.

He was born on December 18, 1952, in Goražde.

He completed primary and secondary mechanical technical school in his hometown. He graduated and obtained his Master's degree from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sarajevo and, as a scholarship holder, started working at the then Pobjeda immediately after completing his studies.

A few months before the war, he became the general director of UNIS Pobjeda.

He actively participated in the defense of BiH, for which he was awarded the Silver Shield recognition. He also received other recognitions and plaques for his overall economic and socio-political engagement.

He contributed to the improvement of production in the defense industry until recently as the executive director at the defense industry company Ginex in Goražde. He was also a waqf of the Islamic Community in BiH.

The funeral prayer and burial of Hasan Tafro will be held tomorrow at 6:00 PM at the Kolijevke city cemetery.
