Long-time sports worker and commentator Kemal Baluković passes away

(Patria) - Kemal Baluković, a long-time sports worker and one of the pioneers of professional boxing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, passed away today at the age of 75.

Baluković was one of the founders of the Association that was admitted to the European family in 1999. He also worked as a commentator, and one match marked his journalistic career. That was the anthology bout between Zija Poljo and Orlando Breinburg in Sanski Most.

Baluković commented on that match in his own characteristic way, from which Poljo emerged as the winner.

As his colleagues say, Baluković was the alpha and omega of the Boxing Club Željezničar.

The funeral prayer will be held on Friday (29 December 2023 at 2:00 PM) at the Vlakovo City Cemetery.
