Former Prime Minister of RS Vladimir Lukić passed away

(Patria) - Former Prime Minister of RS and the first dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Banja Luka, Vladimir Lukić, passed away today in Banja Luka.

Lukić was born on February 2, 1933, in Donji Dabar near Sanski Most.

He graduated in geodesy from the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Zagreb in 1961, and defended his doctoral dissertation in 1990 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Sarajevo.

During his career, he held a number of significant positions, including the post of Prime Minister of RS, as well as a member of the Senate of RS.

He also served as an advisor in the Chamber of Commerce of RS and participated in numerous activities significant for the institutional and social development of RS.

From 1995 to 1996, he worked as a professor at the Faculty of Forestry of the University of Banja Luka, and then was one of the founders of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Banja Luka, where he served as dean from 1996 to 2003.
