21-year-old miner injured in Breza mine accident dies

A young miner from Breza has died after being seriously injured in an accident that occurred in the "Breza" lignite mine early Sunday morning, Patria reports.

Miner Amir Avdukić (21) was injured in the mine shaft. He was transported to the Clinical Center in Sarajevo, where doctors fought for his life for three days but could not save him. 

The family of the unfortunate young man accuses that Avdukić did not receive oxygen on time. The mine management claims they did everything to save the miner.

RMU Breza Director Ćamil Zaimović told Patria that the accident happened during the third shift, and that supervisory services are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident, Patria writes.
