Mother Hasma Fejzić, who led the Peace March column for years, has passed away

(Patria) - Mother Hasma Fejzić has passed away, announced the Srebrenica Memorial Center. Many will remember mother Hasma Fejzić at the head of the Peace March column, in which she participated for twelve years.

“Proudly and defiantly, from the age of 62, she walked the path where her late husband Husein remained twelve times,” they wrote in a touching farewell message from the Srebrenica Memorial Center on their official Facebook page.

Her husband Husein was killed after the fall of Srebrenica, and his remains were found in the village of Križevići.

“As long as I can walk on my feet, I will go on the Peace March,” mother Hasma used to say.

She was at the head of the column for the last time this year. In this way, for years, she paid tribute to the victims of the genocide, among whom were her husband and numerous relatives, reports from the Srebrenica Memorial Center.

They emphasize that they will never forget the perseverance and courage of mother Hasma.
