Premiere of the play "Saint of Darkness" about the life of Mother Teresa on June 19

The premiere of the play "Saint of Darkness", by Macedonian author Venko Andonovski, directed by Gradimir Gojer, will be performed for the Sarajevo audience at the National Theatre Sarajevo on June 19, 2014, at 8:00 PM.

This is the world premiere of the biography of the greatest humanitarian in the world, Mother Teresa. In addition to directing, Gradimir Gojer adapted the text, created the scenography, and the musical dramaturgy of the play.

- Working with an ensemble of actors from Sarajevo, Mostar, and Priština, I have tried and am trying to erect the world's first stage monument to Mother Teresa. I am convinced that there is regional interest in the play. I am happy that we are the first to try, in this way, to repay a part of the debt to Mother Teresa for all that she has done for the world - said Gojer.

Incidentally, the original music for the play was written by Đelo Jusić, and the director also uses a selection of music from Mozart's works in the play.

In this play of international character, roles are played by actors from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo. The main and title role is played by Kostadinka Velkovska.

The producer of the play is HKD "Napredak", and the play was supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Macedonia in BiH, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in BiH, Cardinal Vinko Puljić, and Monsignor Franjo Komarica, Bishop of Banja Luka, as well as the National Theatre Sarajevo.

The play features: Kostadinka Velkovska, Muharem Osmić, Alija Aljović, Ilir Tafa, Irena Mulamuhić, Aida Bukva, Staša Dukić, Gradimir Gojer, and Ahmed Duvnjak.
