PM of UK: Sarajevo Canton can borrow more, it's ridiculous what the ombudsman is dealing with, there's no substance in the Mindset funding!

(Patria) - KS Prime Minister Nihad Uk (Our Party) spoke on various topics in tonight's edition of the show Intervju on TVSA.

He stated that there is room for Sarajevo Canton to borrow more.

"We did some analysis, compared to the region, to Republika Srpska and some countries in the region, we are in the clear on this issue. All loans taken out are tied to infrastructural projects," said Uk.

Speaking about subsidies for young people to buy their first property, 500,000 KM is foreseen in the proposed budget for 2025.

Given that there wasn't enough money for around 1000 young people to receive the 10,000 KM subsidies, and they have so far received 4,800 KM each, Uk stated that if there is money in the budget and the proposed amendment to increase the amount to 5,500,000 KM is adopted, then "this farce regarding young people will be resolved." He also called the call for subsidies for purchasing the first property problematic.

The Ombudsman's Office has opened a case due to the unpaid difference, and the KS Prime Minister's comment on this was surprising:

"What has been initiated is ridiculous, especially that it has received publicity. There is nothing to it, constant threats of criminal charges are made against me and the Government. If a law has been broken, then it should be," he said.

Speaking about the Minister of Communal Affairs of KS, Bojan Bošnjak, he stated that there is no legal basis for the minister to be dismissed.

"He is in custody, not indicted. There are no legal grounds to dismiss a minister.
The secretary manages the ministry for 30 days, and then one of the Government members is delegated to lead that department," he said.

He also commented on the allocation of 70,000 KM to the company MindSet by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and Uk rejected all allegations about a case formed by the KS Anti-Corruption Office.

"I am fully aware and was informed today, there is nothing to it. The Office is not investigating, this is a report that came directly to the Office and was sent to the media and the prosecution, this case does not exist at this moment. We are returning to the headlines. And at any moment, they can accuse me and any member of the Government of being criminals, of being something else. In this case, the Commission, a professional commission composed of experts from film and culture, evaluated this public call. It's definitely not a reflection on Minister Magoda, this was done maliciously. I support the work of the Office and all other prosecutor's offices, but the way of communication is not quite right, but that is the burden we carry as the executive power and we must deal with it in the coming period. In this case, there is nothing, it will remain a headline in the newspaper or portal, and there is no substance to it," said Uk.
