Prime Minister Pivić: Zenica-Doboj Canton Sends Machinery to Jablanica and Konjic

(Patria) - The Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of the Zenica-Doboj Canton has prepared machinery to send to assist in the aftermath of catastrophic floods in the municipalities of Jablanica and Konjic, confirmed the Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Nezir Pivić.

"The Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton is making itself available to the flooded areas and at this moment we are waiting for the signal from the Federal Civil Protection Administration to send the prepared machinery to Jablanica and Konjic. We deeply empathize with the citizens of the flooded areas, as we ourselves experienced catastrophic floods in 2014 and we know how much assistance means in such a disaster," said Prime Minister Pivić.

He noted that the floods have not bypassed the Zenica-Doboj Canton either. Rivers have overflowed in the area of the City of Visoko and the Municipality of Vareš, but the situation is under control.
