Premier and Ministers Briefed on Construction of Tourist City "Buroj Ozone"

The Premier and ministers in the Sarajevo Canton Government Elmedin Konaković, Jasmin Halebić, Muharem Šabić and Čedomir Lukić were briefed today on the course of preparations and the announced imminent signing of the Agreement on the construction of the First Integrated Tourist City "Buroj Ozone" at the location "Sportsko-rekreacioni centar Bjelašnica-Donja Grkarica-Prečko Polje-Kolijevka" in the area of Dejčići in the municipality of Trnovo.

The project, which will cover a total area of about 137 hectares, was discussed in more detail by the Executive Director of the company "Buroj Property Development" from Dubai, Ahmed Ismail. The Mayor of Trnovo Municipality, Ibro Berilo, presented the plans and dynamics for securing the necessary infrastructure network, especially the supply of water, electricity, gas and road connectivity to the complex, reports the Patria news agency.

Director Ismail reflected on the period of negotiations and preparations for the project's implementation:

"The beginning of talks and preparations for the construction of this tourist city was accompanied by mistrust, not only from the local public but also from business circles in our country. The agreements with the municipality went very well, and we managed to transfer our good previous experiences to other investors. The potentials here are great, and I am sure that after this project we will open the door for other investors," emphasized Ismail.

As presented, the project implementation would be carried out in four phases, over a period of 8 to 10 years. The first phase would last one to two years and includes the construction of villas and hotel complexes, followed by the planned construction of other facilities, a hospital, squares, and shopping malls.

"Once the works begin, they will dispel doubts about your serious intentions. The Sarajevo Canton Government and the relevant ministries will provide you with full support where it is needed," pointed out Premier Konaković.

As Mayor Berilo confirmed, the construction of the supercity near Trnovo should begin in April next year, and only domestic companies will be engaged at this construction site. After construction, in and around this megapolis, a thousand citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will earn their living daily.
