Prime Minister Forto after meeting with trade unions: We are continuing negotiations, the deadline is December 21

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Appreciating the importance of social dialogue and cooperation with trade union organizations, the Government of Sarajevo Canton, led by Prime Minister Edin Forto, held a meeting today with representatives of employee trade unions whose salaries are paid from the KS Budget.

Prime Minister Forto stated after the meeting that several conclusions were reached.

"The most important thing is that we started negotiations on the base for salary payments today, and we have set a timeframe, with the deadline for the completion of negotiations, regardless of the outcome, being December 21," said Prime Minister Forto.

He added that the continuation of negotiations is scheduled for December 8. The KS Government's stance is clear that discussions on salary increases for employees paid from the KS Budget are necessary, given the significant increase in the cost of living.
