Prime Minister Forto and Minister Mandić spoke with directors of Sarajevogas and Toplane

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto and Minister of Communal Economy and Infrastructure Srđan Mandić visited yesterday the public utility companies Sarajevogas and Toplane.

As one of the more important projects in the field of gasification, Prime Minister Forto highlighted the connection of the gas pipeline on the route Hrasnica – Igman – Bjelašnica – Hadžići. On that route, an additional 35 km of gas network needs to be laid, and this is a project that the Government of Sarajevo Canton and the relevant ministry will continue to support financially. 

„We are doing this with the aim of improving the safety of the gas network and enabling the citizens of Hadžići and other settlements to connect to it,“ said Prime Minister Forto.

The project of subsidizing households that wish to connect to the gas network will also continue. This process is slowed down by the large number of requests from those buildings, i.e., households that do not have building permits and as such cannot be connected to the gas network. Therefore, the Government announces the possibility that even those buildings for which the procedure for their legalization has been initiated may receive the right to this subsidy.

The number of users of district heating is also increasing. This is a result of the city's expansion, but also of the fact that Toplane has managed over the past three years to consolidate its operations and improve the existing system and facilities.

Minister Mandić pointed out that in the two mentioned companies, as well as in the entire utility sector, it is important to focus on continuously raising the quality of services, working on user satisfaction, and that the Ministry is ready to work on this with all utility companies. In this regard, the Government will support capital projects that show benefits for the company and for the citizens.

Director of Sarajevogas Nihada Glamoč and Director of Toplane Admir Džubur also acquainted Prime Minister Forto and Minister Mandić with other current projects and development plans of the companies they lead.
