It's Easiest to Play Politics on Someone Else's Back: Dodik's Referendum Will Cost Citizens 3 Million KM

The decision on the referendum on the Day of RS, passed by the National Assembly of RS on July 15, and the Constitutional Court of RS yesterday (August 11) determined that the vital national interest of Bosniaks was not violated, will enter into force upon publication in the Official Gazette, and September 25 has been chosen as the date for the referendum, writes the Patria news agency.

Holding the referendum will cost the citizens/taxpayers in the smaller BiH entity an additional 3 million KM, which the President of RS and SNSD leader will generously take from the Government's budget. Preparations for holding it are in an advanced stage, claims this party.

The total debt of Republika Srpska at the end of 2015 amounted to 5.3 billion. By the end of the year, the debt will exceed 6 billion KM.

The fact that he is daily indebting the citizens of the smaller BiH entity is not important to Dodik, nor is the additional three million KM he will spend on holding the referendum. Three million more or less, it means nothing to him.

And the fact that he has burdened every citizen with over 3,000 KM of debt, and that each of them wakes up every morning with one mark less in their account, is completely irrelevant. The referendum, and then the elections on October 2 and staying in power, are the priority.

As well as further dangerous political steps against the state of BiH, which Dodik will take if he is not stopped by the OHR, i.e., the High Representative Valentin Inzko, using his Bonn powers.
