PROCESSES OVERLAP Will Irfan Čengić vote (or not) for the new KS Government?

In the next twenty days, two processes in Sarajevo should be concluded: the confirmation of the new Sarajevo Canton Government and the awarding of mandates to the new Mayor of Stari Grad Municipality.

What is curious is that Irfan Čengić, who is also the newly elected Mayor of Stari Grad, should vote for the new Sarajevo Canton Government. His mandate in the KS Assembly lasts until the Central Election Commission (CIK) confirms the election results and awards him the mandate. There is a possibility that these two processes will overlap, and that due to the awarding of the mandate, Čengić will not be able to vote for the new KS Government because he will no longer be a representative. Everything will depend on the date the KS Assembly session is scheduled and when the CIK will complete all legally prescribed procedures.

Regardless of whether Čengić votes or not, the new political majority in the KS Assembly has 20 votes even without his vote. 18 votes are needed to make decisions.
The new majority consists of NIP (7), SDP (6), NS (4), as well as representatives Damir Marjanović, Redžo Lemezan, Elza Gaković, and Admela Hodžić.

Vikić or Spahić instead of Čengić

According to the election results, Vedrana Vikić should enter the KS Assembly instead of Čengić, while Vildana Bešlija from Our Party would take that position in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.

If Vikić were to give up her mandate, then Ademir Spahić would enter the KS Assembly. Vikić is employed at Sarajevo International Airport, and Spahić is at the Public Institution Health Centers. He is also one of the candidates for the KS Minister of Health, and the Cantonal Board of SDP BiH will have the final say on who will enter the KS Government instead of Haris Vranić at today's session.
