Council of Ministers of BiH session interrupted, no laws on the agenda anyway!

(Patria) - State ministers in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to interrupt today's session because they have "Important obligations", reports BHRT.

This happened just a day after the European Commission's report on Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023 was presented, and it was stated that we must accelerate reforms and make important decisions on the path to the European Union.

Otherwise, there was not a single law from the 14 priorities on this session's agenda. It is always important to note that 14 priorities do not mean the same number of laws, and the previously adopted five were not enough for the green light to open negotiations. BiH received a conditional green light, but it is clear that without fulfilling the conditions, BiH cannot open negotiations.

The agenda item concerning the agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Frontex was also removed from the agenda of the Council of Ministers of BiH, given that the Minister of Security, Nenad Nešić, did not attend the session.

At the proposal of the Ministry of Security of BiH, the Draft Basis for conducting negotiations and concluding the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on operational activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Frontex) was supposed to be on the agenda of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

However, it was removed from the agenda, and this issue is another potential stumbling block for the new government.
