Session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament interrupted

The session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament has been interrupted after the agenda did not receive the necessary majority of votes, reports Patria News Agency.

SBB MPs did not vote, SDP was against, and other opposition MPs were against or abstained. The agenda proposal was supported by MPs from SDA and HDZ BiH, but it was not enough for its adoption.

Today, MPs were supposed to discuss amendments to the Law on the Interest Rate on Public Revenues, the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Electric Energy, the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Financial Consolidation of Economic Entities in the Federation of BiH, the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Determining and Realizing Citizens' Claims in the Privatization Process, as well as some other legal solutions in the FBiH. 

The contentious issue was the proposal by SDP MP Damir Mašić to include in the session's agenda a conclusion obliging the Government, within 60 days, to ensure the deletion of all ethnic identifiers from the names of all public enterprises and enterprises with majority state capital managed by the FBiH Government, and for the parliament to get involved in resolving the problems at the KCUS, where some of the best doctors are leaving due to poor working conditions.
