Session of the House of Representatives adjourned, to resume on June 20

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was adjourned due to lack of quorum, will resume on June 20 in the morning hours, as the regular June session is scheduled for 1:00 PM on June 20.

Before the adjournment, the representatives of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed the amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances proposed by MP Maja Gasal-Vražalica of the Democratic Front (DF).

The intention of the amendments to the Law is to determine the allowance for commuting to and from work based on a calculation using the price list of the public urban and intercity transport provider under the most favorable conditions.

MP Gasal-Vražalica pointed out that the Ministry of Finance and Treasury has a position that is not supported by facts and arguments, because the union stated that they were not consulted when the Council of Ministers made a decision on this issue.

- Why are institutions looking for a way to fill the budget at the expense of disenfranchised workers, because they are demanding a fee of five BAM for a form to determine where they live. We have received no feedback from the Council of Ministers, and we demand that this discrimination be corrected – asked Gasal-Vražalica.

The representatives also opened a discussion on the report on the work of the Management Board of the Export Credit Agency (IGA).

Mirsad Isaković, MP of the SBB, raised a number of objections against the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because it did nothing to resolve the problems in that agency. First of all, Isaković said, the Council of Ministers should have formed an inter-ministerial council.

- The problems in that agency have their genesis from the very adoption of the Law on the Establishment of the Export Credit Agency. He says that the founding capital was never distributed between the state and the entities, and an inter-ministerial council was not formed, as provided for by the law, and that should have been done by the Council of Ministers - said Isaković.
