Session Interrupted: Will Bosniaks Be Part of the Majority in the Srebrenica Assembly

Today's constitutive session of the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly was interrupted at the request of the old convocation's vice-president and SDA councilor Hamdija Fejzić.

He referred to the agreement that the former mayor of this municipality signed with the presidents of pro-Bosniak parties, stating that their councilors would not negotiate the formation of a majority, writes Patria.

Fejzić requested the interruption after the current councilors and officials were dismissed from their positions, and after the new 21 councilors took their solemn oath.

Due to the interruption, new assembly leadership was not elected because it is still unknown who has the majority. The continuation of the session will be held in seven days.

SDA, SBB, SBiH, and SDP have nine councilors, while the remaining 12 are from the Serb bloc of parties.
