SESSION INTERRUPTED: No majority for adopting the agenda in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today's 22nd regular session, was supposed to consider nine agenda items, with as many as three dedicated to the debt of the larger BiH entity.

However, the session was interrupted after the Question Hour and the debate on the agenda because only 48 representatives voted for the agenda, which is not a sufficient majority. 35 representatives voted against the agenda, and two abstained. Even after individual voting, the required majority was not reached. One representative from SDP, Hajrudin Kozarević, abstained, while 14 representatives from HDZ voted.

After that, the presiding officer Dragan Mioković from Our Party concluded the session.

Regarding the FBiH debt, representatives were supposed to discuss reports on four bond issuances, two from March and one each from April and May of this year, through which 200 million KM were raised. Also on the agenda were reports on treasury bill issuances from March and April, through which the FBiH incurred a debt of another 80 million KM.

In addition, in February and March, the FBiH also took out two short-term loans from commercial banks totaling 110 million KM.

Two short-term revolving loans totaling 25 million KM were also taken out, but the report does not state whether these funds have already been paid into the FBiH budget.

According to the reports, through four bond issuances, two treasury bill issuances, and two short-term loans from commercial banks, the FBiH is indebted by more than 390 million KM, plus another 25 million KM in revolving loans.
