SDA and SBiH Negotiations: FBiH Government Could Get New Ministers by Early September

Representatives of SDA and SBiH continued negotiations today on the formation of a new FBiH Government, after the DF left, a new coalition was formed in the Federation of BiH at the end of July, which now includes SDA and HDZ BiH, as well as SBiH, BPS and A-SDA, reports the Patria news agency.

Deputy President of SDA Adil Osmanović said today at a press conference that the four vacant ministerial positions in the FBiH Government could be filled as early as the beginning of next month, and that the new coalition partners could certainly each get a ministerial seat.

We did not go into a more detailed distribution of portfolios. The talks between SDA and the Party for BiH were more focused on the functionality of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament and the House of Peoples, as well as the FBiH Government itself - said Osmanović, adding that by the beginning of September or at the beginning of September they will try to fill the FBiH Government with the four missing ministerial positions.

Representatives of SBiH today again expressed their desire for a new redistribution of the ministry for industry and energy, stating that they have personnel who could best respond to the issues in that portfolio.

Osmanović said that talks with A-SDA were held yesterday and will continue on Thursday. They will soon sit down with BPS as well.

SDA, BPS, SBiH and A-SDA signed the coalition at the end of July this year, after the coalition of SDA, HDZ BiH and DF fell apart, reports Patria.
