Negotiating Team of Konzum's BiH Suppliers Seeks Legal Protection of Their Claims from the FBiH Government

Members of the Negotiating Team of Konzum's BiH Suppliers, formed by the Employers' Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held a meeting with Fadil Novalić, Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH. The Negotiating Team of Konzum's BiH Suppliers informed Prime Minister Novalić about the conclusions of the meeting held two days ago with representatives of Konzum BiH and the Mercator Business System, as well as the request of BiH suppliers to secure guarantees that all Konzum's debts to them will be paid.

Representatives of BiH suppliers presented to Prime Minister Novalić their proposals regarding the modalities for settling Konzum's debts to BiH suppliers and requested that state authorities actively engage in finding a way for the survival of the Mercator – Konzum retail chain on a realistic basis, while simultaneously protecting the interests of BiH suppliers and their claims against Konzum in BiH in accordance with the law. A high level of agreement on this issue was reached at today's meeting.

The meeting expressed support for the continuation of Konzum's uninterrupted operations in BiH, with respect for the obligation to pay suppliers within the legal deadline of 60 days, i.e., under the conditions specified in bilateral agreements with suppliers.
