News about three municipalities preferred: Why the City of Sarajevo discriminates against Stari Grad

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On the official website of the City of Sarajevo in the section 'City municipalities' news is published that should concern all four city municipalities (Stari Grad, Centar, Novo Sarajevo, Novi Grad). A simple analysis of just the headlines in which the municipality the news is about is most often mentioned gives the impression that the Stari Grad municipality is not one of the four city municipalities. Moreover, in that section, the four city municipalities are not listed, which further adds to the confusion. 

For example, since the beginning of this year, 56 news items about city municipalities have been published, and only one news item about the Stari Grad municipality. The record holder in terms of the number of posts is the Centar municipality with 29 news items. Information about the Novo Sarajevo municipality was published 15 times, and about Novi Grad eleven times. 

Although numerous projects have been completed in Stari Grad, among which it is worth highlighting the first public underground garage with a functional square opposite the Vijećnica, such news could not be read on the City of Sarajevo website. News about the renovation of the Stari Grad Health Center, the construction of a completely new school hall at the „Edhem Mulabdić“ Elementary School could not be read either, thus neglecting the public interest.

This is also a criticism for those who select information for publication to be more mindful, because the Stari Grad municipality has about 37,000 residents, and this attitude of the official website of the Sarajevo City Administration sends a bad message to the residents of the Stari Grad municipality, without which Sarajevo is unimaginable.
