(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, with 83 votes in favor, today adopted the conclusion of the House's Collegium regarding the provision of conditions for the work of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.
The Chairperson of the House, Mirjana Marinković Lepić, stated that the assembly hall where the sessions of both houses of the FBiH Parliament are held is unsuitable because the hall is leaking and ceiling damage is evident.
"We sent a request for the allocation of the hall to several addresses, but we received no response from the State Parliament or the FBiH Government, and this was the only solution. We jointly determined this conclusion at the Collegium that the FBiH Government should urgently find a solution and urgently secure adequate premises, or a building if necessary, for the work of both houses of the FBiH Parliament, for holding sessions, for the work of caucuses, standing working bodies, and professional services. The FBiH Government is tasked with submitting information on the undertaken activities to this house within 30 days of the adoption of this conclusion, and through the Service for Common Affairs, to carry out urgent repairs of the FBiH Parliament premises," said Marinković-Lepić.
She emphasized that they received consent from the Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, to carry out the repairs of the Parliament hall.
Representative Drago Stanić (HDZ 1990) requested that, as part of the repair of the Parliament hall, access for persons with disabilities to the Parliament amphitheater also be enabled.
