House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly dismissed Košarac and Amidžić, but will it pass in the House of Peoples?

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly at today's emergency session with 27 votes dismissed Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić from the positions of ministers of foreign trade and economic relations and finance and treasury. However, this dismissal must also be confirmed in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly. Today's session was not attended by representatives of the SNSD and partner parties.

Saša Magazinović, head of the SDP Club, explained the initiative for the dismissal of Košarac and Amidžić.

"By attempts to block the EU path by the president of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, the coalition agreement was violated. Ministers Košarac and Amidžić played a significant role in this. The SNSD is disrupting the peace and security of BiH and the region.

I will say a few words in my personal capacity. People who run after the party leader, who threaten at press conferences in the most expensive suits, cannot sit in government. And not only in state government, but also at other levels of government, there is no place for them. We should take care of the institutions of BiH for the best interest of the people in BiH, which means removing all those who use force. It is time for them to leave those Viber groups where they gather people to maintain the illusion of strength and to look at reality. People do not intend to lose their jobs because of them," said Magazinović.

Midhat Čaušević, a representative of the SDA, said that the SDA had already voted against Minister Amidžić during his appointment, and against Minister Košarac twice.

"We will vote for the dismissal of both, but we believe that this is not the end and that there should have been more ministers who should have been dismissed due to their inaction. Now hindsight has come that two ministers are blocking the European path. And with them, the majority and coalition were formed, and you said it was new energy and how refined Dodik is, and you convinced citizens that it was a new moment. And now you who elected them say it is not so and that they are ruining the EU path. Destroyers of the European path, all of you who are in power and who need to fulfill promises to citizens. This dismissal will come to the House of Peoples, and what then. We saw how it ended last time. Nikola Špirić said he would use his right of veto. You must be aware of where and how you are leading the state of BiH. And when it comes to the dismissal of not only these two ministers but all ministers, the SDA Club is for every dismissal," said Čaušević.

First, a vote was taken on the dismissal of Staša Košarac, for which 27 representatives voted, two HDZ members were against, namely Marinko Čavara and Slavko Matić. For the dismissal of Amidžić, the same ratio of votes was also cast.

The regular session will be held on March 12.
