House of Representatives of PS BiH elected new members of the Central Election Commission

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The session of the House of Representatives of PSBiH has ended, and deputies of HDZ BiH and SNSD left it after the agenda included an item proposed by Dragan Mektić (SDS) on the termination of office of the members of the Central Election Commission (CIK) and the election and assumption of office of other members of the CIK.

Deputies adopted a decision by which the mandate of Ahmet Šantić, Suad Arnautović, Branko Petrić, Novak Božičković ceases, and Ahmet Šantić, Suad Arnautović, Vanja Bjelica - Prutina and Jovan Kalaba are elected as members of the CIK. Stjepan Mikić, Irena Hadžiabdić and Vlado Rogić remain from the old composition of the CIK.

The elected members of the CIK will assume office on the day of the election.

The proposal by Zlatan Begić (DF) on the termination of office of a member of the CIK BiH and the election and assumption of office of a new member of the CIK will go for harmonization due to the lack of an entity majority. This decision proposed the termination of office of CIK member Stjepan Mikić due to the expiration of his mandate, and Željko Bakalar was proposed in his place.
