At today's extraordinary session, the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the appointments of Marinko Čavara (HDZ BiH), Melika Mahmutbegović (SDA) and Milan Dunović (DF) as President and Vice Presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Patria news agency.
During the vote, as previously announced, representatives from SBB, HDZ 1990, Naša stranka and SDP abstained.
The heads of the executive branch should also be confirmed today by the House of Peoples. If they do not receive the required majority, the appointments will be returned to the House of Representatives for confirmation.
It is planned that this will be the third session in the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, after which the House of Peoples should reconvene. At that session, Čavara, Mahmutbegović and Dunović will also take the oath.
In accordance with the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the President, with the consent of the Vice Presidents, appoints a mandate holder to form the new Federal Government.
