House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament establishes a special department for monitoring EU processes

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament held a thematic session "Challenges and Perspectives of the Federation of BiH on the European Path", attended by European Parliament member Tanja Fajon and Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Lars Gunnar Wigemark. The HDZ BiH-HNS Club did not attend the session.

Several conclusions were adopted, one of which is that the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament gives full support to BiH on its path to the European Union and NATO membership.

- The House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament will make its full contribution to the legislative process for the adoption of laws and other acts related to the EU path. The House of Representatives will form a special EU department responsible for monitoring EU processes and IPA funds, which will consist of expert staff in the field of the EU.

Edin Dilberović, Director of the Directorate for European Integration, stated at today's session that BiH received 655 additional questions from the European Commission, but that it is not a retake exam, but rather additional clarifications were requested in certain areas.

- The EU is seeking additional statistical data and clarifications on some legal matters. Very often we get questions about whether they will be politicized. Everything can be politicized, and the questions are of a technical nature. We believe that the most important thing is to provide answers in the next three months. That is also the EU's recommendation - said Dilberović.
