House of Representatives of FBiH: 90 minutes wasted, SDP protests over Novalić and Čampara

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - At the second regular session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBiH, an initiative by representatives Hamdija Abdić and Albin Muslić was adopted to hold an urgent thematic session on the situation with migration, with special emphasis on the situation in the Una-Sana Canton.

The deadline for holding this session has not been specified. Presiding Officer Elvir Karajbić said that the Collegium of the House will meet within 14 days to set a date.

Abdić stated that ambassadors of those countries where there is no war, and from which migrants come to BiH, should be invited.

Presiding Officer Karajbić announced that the Federal Ministry of Tourism and Environment has requested that the Draft Law on Environment be withdrawn from the agenda.

This was followed by a discussion on the request of the outgoing Minister of Interior of FBiH, Aljoša Čampara, to withdraw from the agenda the reports on the work of the FBiH Ministry of Interior and the security reports for 2015, 2016, 2017, and the first half of 2018.

The Chairman of the Security Commission of the House of Representatives of FBiH, Damir Mašić, said that the four proposed reports were submitted by the Government of FBiH and that it was unclear to him why the Prime Minister of FBiH, Fadil Novalić, left the session.

"We have not considered any information on the work of the Ministry of Interior and the security situation in the Federation of BiH for four years," said Mašić, expressing protest over the "irresponsible and non-transparent attitude of the Government of FBiH and the Ministry of Interior."

This was followed by a heated discussion about the agenda, but also about the work of the Government and the Ministry, new coalitions, and other topics unrelated to the agenda proposals.
