House of Representatives of BiH to discuss digitalization, Špirić, and corruption today

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Representatives of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina will decide at today's session on the Report on the performed performance audit on the topic "Digitalization of TV signal in BiH" prepared by the BiH Institutions Audit Office.

The Finance and Budget Committee of the House of Representatives, by conclusion, requested the BiH Ministry of Transport and Communications to report within three months on the planned and undertaken activities for the implementation of recommendations from the audit report.

The Representatives will also consider the Report on the performed performance audit on the topic "Planning and implementation of training for employees in BiH institutions," in which auditors stated that employee training is being conducted, but not always in line with the actual needs of institutions, and that it sometimes unnecessarily 'overlaps'. It was also stated that no control mechanism or system for transferring acquired knowledge has been established.

The agenda also includes consideration of information on the current situation at the Export Credit Agency of BiH caused by the blocking of its main transaction account, as well as the appointment of members of the Management Board of the Public Broadcasting Service of BiH from among the Bosniak, Croat, and Serb peoples.

The session is also expected to consider several parliamentary initiatives, one of which relates to requesting information and documentation from the competent authorities of the United States of America regarding the alleged involvement of the Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PSBiH, Nikola Špirić (SNSD), in public corruption.

An initiative to introduce a single European emergency number 112 will be considered, as well as an initiative to allocate funds to assist earthquake victims in Croatia in the amount of 300,000 KM, and to allocate funds for the construction of a new building for the Bihać Health Center in the amount of two million KM.

The agenda also includes the consideration of several parliamentary initiatives that were not supported at previous sessions of the House due to a lack of entity majority, and the Collegium of the House has subsequently attempted to reach an agreement on them.
