Representatives of the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton held a working meeting with Bećirević

The Cantonal Minister of Interior Vedran Mulabdić, Police Commissioner of the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton Vahid Ćosić, and Chief of the First Police Administration Fahrudin Halač visited, on Friday, 26 August 2016, the Centar Municipality where they were hosted by the Mayor Dževad Bećirević with his associates.

At the working meeting, the participants discussed the current security situation in the Centar Municipality, as well as generally in the Sarajevo Canton, and the past and future cooperation.

Minister Mulabdić expressed gratitude to the Centar Municipality and Mayor Bećirević for the long-standing support of this local community, primarily in equipping the structures of the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton, and the hope that this cooperation will continue in the future.

Commissioner Ćosić added that the Centar Municipality, by investing in healthcare, education, culture, and all other areas of social life, leads compared to other local communities, contributing to raising the level of security in the municipality area, as well as the Sarajevo Canton.

- The Centar Municipality allocates significant amounts both for equipping our units and for education, healthcare, culture... I truly wish to express great gratitude because, when everything is taken into account, the Municipality invests enormous resources in prevention. I sincerely hope that such an approach will continue in the future - said Ćosić.

Mayor Bećirević thanked the guests and emphasized that the Centar Municipality must be an example to others.

- We have strongly supported the police for years. We cannot say that something is not the responsibility of the local community and turn a blind eye to problems - Bećirević pointed out.
