Representatives of the US Embassy with the ruling coalition in FBiH on next steps in the implementation of the Southern Interconnection

(Patria) - Representatives of the American Embassy in BiH participated today in the meeting of the Working Group for technical coordination of the Southern Interconnection project, held at the Parliament of the Federation of BiH in Sarajevo.

The working group was also attended by representatives of the five ruling coalition parties in FBiH and the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, led by Minister Vedran Lakić.

The meeting discussed the next steps in the implementation of the gas pipeline, after the Government of FBiH yesterday determined the amendments to the Law on the Southern Interconnection and sent the Draft of the international agreement between BiH and Croatia to the Council of Ministers of BiH for further proceedings.

The US Embassy stated that they will continue to coordinate with domestic institutions to ensure long-term energy security and reliability for all citizens of BiH through the strategic project of the Southern Interconnection.
