Calvin Klein Men's Collection 2016 Presented

CK Men's Collection Creative Director, award-winning 50-year-old Italo Zucchelli from Florence, envisioned his latest show as a West Coast 'hoodie-style' collection. Inspired by palm trees, a motif of Los Angeles artist Ed Ruscha, he named it Graphic Heatwave. The motif reminiscent of surfing waves dominates the T-shirts of models who look cloned in their sandals with socks, which until recently represented the biggest fashion sin, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Although a formalist with a fetish for unusual materials, like any other designer, Zucchelli simultaneously enjoys experimenting in all aspects of men's fashion. This is evident without much effort in the CK Men's Collection for 2016.

We see that Zucchelli is preoccupied with circular forms this time in the waist accessories that look like trouser belts worn confidently by CK models. This accessory probably raised a few eyebrows, and even shocked, considering that Zucchelli is also known as a minimalist in his design approach.

In this year's CK collection, Zucchelli has captured the attention of loyal fashion show attendees with side, sewn-on pockets that, thanks to Velcro straps, can be moved as you please. With this, he showed his practical side. Nevertheless, thanks to the monochrome approach in the timeless white, champagne, dark blue, and black – it seems he is still not ready to deviate from his essence – minimalism.

Like any fashion designer, Zucchelli also likes to play with materials. Thanks to the possibilities offered by new technologies, for this collection he created jacquard from faded denim, which has the look of jeans from the '70s! In combination with a white flowing T-shirt, Zucchelli managed to retain the idea of a classic men's look from the Bruce Springsteen era. Only, this look is anything but retro. How does he manage it?
