Manual "Parenting Improvement" Presented

Given that children starting school is a special phase in a child's development that represents a big change for both the child and the entire family, the Cantonal Public Institution “Family Counseling” prepared the manual “Parenting Improvement” whose goal is to develop and strengthen parenting competencies in preparing children for school, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The manual was presented in the Multimedia Hall of Sarajevo Canton on 01/06/2015. to representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of KS, the Pedagogical Institute, and the Public Institution “Children of Sarajevo”.

Through the content of the manual, parents can learn about different parenting styles and ways they can help their child become independent and socialize, i.e., adapt to the school environment.

It is planned that parents whose children attend preschool classes at the Public Institution “Children of Sarajevo”, as well as other kindergartens in Sarajevo Canton, will participate in interactive workshops aimed at supporting parents in preparing children for school, and will receive a copy of this manual.
