SDP BiH Presidency: Political situation concerning, story about a third entity is being rounded off

At the constitutive session of the Presidency of the Social Democratic Party of BiH, in its new term, the current political situation in our country was assessed as concerning, mostly due to the efforts of SDA and HDZ to, through amendments to the Election Law, round off the story about introducing a third entity in BiH. This project is further contributed to by the coordination mechanism that would give cantons greater powers, which would automatically mean that cantons could have the right of veto on issues of importance for the progress of our country, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

At the Presidency, it was concluded that, in response to such moves, SDP BiH will have a clear stance and will be against any ethnic division of the state. By visiting party organizations across the country, additional confirmation of this stance will be conveyed to the membership, which will contribute to party members being informed at all times about the activities of the party bodies and helping with their proposals in their implementation.

The members of the Presidency expressed satisfaction with the successfully implemented intra-party reforms over the past 10 months, which, as a result, led to the holding of elections for presidents of local organizations and the president of SDP BiH under the system of „One member-one vote“, the holding of the sixth regular Congress of the party, and the new term of the Main Board.

The session also announced the continuation of negotiations with political parties and non-governmental organizations on consolidating the left in our country and, possibly, a joint appearance in the next local elections, which would, in the future, lead to the formation of a strong left-wing bloc in BiH.
