SDA Presidency: Commissioners appointed in Tuzla, Konjic and Goražde

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After seven hours of session, the Presidency of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) concluded its multi-hour meeting, confirming the decision of the SDA Executive Board of Sarajevo Canton to initiate the procedure for the dismissal of Prime Minister Elmedin Konaković, who left this party. 

It was also decided to introduce a commissionership in the SDA Cantonal Committee of Tuzla, as well as in party organizations in Goražde and Konjic. Mirsad Kukić was removed from the head of the SDA Cantonal Committee of Tuzla, and Amir Fazlić, a state representative in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was appointed. 

During his address to the media, Izetbegović said that Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konaković lightly left the SDA and that he had been preparing this for months, and called on him to resign, given that Konaković himself said he was not for "party appointments." He added that Konaković persistently sought faults with SDA personnel. 

The SDA president also said that he will clean up the party, and when asked how he sees the situation in the SDA, he said:

- There are always problems in the party. We will make some reconstructions, we will clean up the party ahead of this election race – Izetbegović stated.

Asim Sarajlić, president of the SDA Cantonal Committee of Sarajevo, said that this party body is in permanent session, but that a decision was made to initiate the dismissal of Konaković from the prime ministerial position, who "slapped the SDA with his moves."
