SDA Presidency on the Formation of the FBiH Government and the Election Law

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The session of the SDA Presidency will be held today at 2:00 PM, and at 5:00 PM a press conference will be held. 

It is expected that the topics of the session will be the reconstruction of the Government of the Sarajevo Canton, and the session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, where a vote of no confidence in the Sarajevo Canton Government will be held, will take place on January 29. The new majority consists of SDA, SBB, DF, and BOSS. SDA will receive seven ministries in the new Sarajevo Canton Government, and the names of the candidates should be announced soon. The joint candidate of the three parties for the mandate holder is Mario Nenadić.

SDA and HDZ BiH need to reach an agreement on amendments to the Election Law as soon as possible in order to hold elections in Mostar this year. Also, there is still no agreement on the formation of the FBiH Government, although the portfolios have been divided between SDA, SBB, DF, and HDZ BiH. It is expected that some ministries will be dissolved and new ones formed, but there is still no official information. What is certain is that the Prime Minister of FBiH will remain Fadil Novalić (SDA), and the Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević (HDZ BiH).
