SDA Presidency: Novalić and Mahmutbegović proposed for Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of FBiH

At the held session of the SDA Presidency, the proposals of the Cadre Commission were unanimously confirmed that Fadil Novalić be proposed as the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, and Melika Mahmutbegović as Deputy Prime Minister of FBiH, writes the Patria News Agency.

Although it was previously speculated that Aljoša Čampara could be a candidate for deputy prime minister, this did not happen, because, as Patria previously reported, he withdrew due to public pressure and internal disagreements with numerous decisions made in cafes, not in party bodies.

As Patria learns, there was no discussion today about the division of portfolios at the cantonal, entity, and state levels, which SDA will seek in upcoming negotiations with coalition partners DF and HDZ.  

It is known that HDZ is seeking six positions in the Government of FBiH, but SDA believes it deserves five. Denis Zvizdić, the future Prime Minister of BiH, said he hopes this problem will be resolved in the coming days.

I believe that this problem regarding the distribution of positions will be resolved in the next seven to ten days – said Zvizdić.

The SDA Presidency made a decision that the candidates for delegates to the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament will be Safet Softić, Halid Genjac, and Sead Kadić. For the president of the SDA Caucus in the FBiH Parliament, Ismet Osmanović was proposed, and for his deputy, Safet Kešo.

- Jasenko Tufekčić was nominated as a candidate for the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament. Osman Ćatić was nominated as a candidate for the president of the Bosniak People's Club in the House of Peoples of FBiH. The SDA Presidency gave its consent for the Prime Minister of Una-Sana Canton to be Izudin Saračević and the Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton to be Bego Gutić. The SDA Presidency demands that the Government of FBiH halt the appointment process of the Director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo and implement a moratorium on all further appointments – it was announced from the SDA.
