SDA Presidency did not discuss distribution of ministerial positions

The session of the SDA Presidency has concluded, but contrary to expectations, there was no discussion about the distribution of ministries in the FBiH Government and the Council of Ministers of BiH. Negotiations between party partners are ongoing, but there was no mention of this at today's Presidency session, confirmed members of this party body after the meeting concluded, writes the Patria News Agency.

As announced, the SDA Presidency discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and accepted the information on the progress of the implementation of election results.

- After the BiH Council of Ministers designate and the heads of the executive authorities at the Federation of BiH level have been appointed, we expect the procedure for appointing the new composition of the Council of Ministers and the FBiH Government to commence as soon as possible. We also expect the process of establishing cantonal governments to be completed as soon as possible – it was announced from the SDA.

The SDA Presidency welcomes and supports the joint Statement of the BiH Presidency on the commitment of political forces in BiH to undertake necessary reforms within the process of BiH's accession to the European Union. This Statement represents an important step in the process of BiH's accession to the EU. We call on other political parties to support the statement on the irrevocable commitment to reforms so that BiH can activate the Stabilization and Association Agreement and submit a credible application for EU membership.

Furthermore, the SDA Presidency most strongly condemned the harassment of parents of Bosniak returnee children in the RS for their fight for the elementary human right to attend classes in schools in their mother tongue.

The SDA Presidency demands that all cantonal governments provide returnees, especially those in the RS, with a full package of healthcare protection, as well as for residents in those cantons. It is unacceptable that due to this problem, as well as other status issues, returnees are being forced to leave their homes for the second time – it is further stated.

The SDA Presidency also most strongly condemns the continuation of the harassment and attempts at political discreditation of the Speaker of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and Vice-President of the Party, Šefik Džaferović, which aims to hinder the formation of government at the state level.

Kebo and his political mentors, with monstrous lies, are not only trying to compromise the SDA and its high officials, but they are also trying to equate the aggressor and the victim, and to tarnish the honorable and heroic defense of the Army of RBiH.

The SDA calls on the BiH Prosecutor's Office to urgently clarify its position regarding Kebo's "claims", so that this constructed situation can be resolved as soon as possible – the statement reads.
