(Patria) - The Presidency of the National European Alliance of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NES BiH) at today's session in Sarajevo analyzed the current political and security situation in the country, and agreed on several positions on important issues in BiH and the region.
The NES Presidency strongly condemns the terrorist act in Kosovo and expresses concern about its impact on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens, who anxiously follow the latest developments that cause unrest and disrupt the security situation in the entire region.
The placement of barricades on entity lines can hardly be interpreted as anything other than a "dress rehearsal" for the secession of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of Republika Srpska, as announced by member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović.
We demand that the current authorities at the state level, especially the representatives of the "Trojka", inform the public and citizens about what they are undertaking regarding the serious security threat under the auspices of the authorities of the BiH entity Republika Srpska, whether they have a plan of action in case of escalation, and if they are still, as they boasted, "keeping Dodik under control", it was announced from NES.
It is difficult to escape the impression that the representatives of the "Trojka", instead of concrete activism and a clear action plan, have taken on the role of silent observers in power. While they boast about adopting several questionable pro-European laws, Dodik and Čović are imposing their own dynamics and demanding that the most important laws for the country, such as the Election Law and the Law on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, be adopted or amended according to their dictates, it is added.
The NES Presidency also states that the lack of concrete reaction from the international community to the anti-constitutional actions of Milorad Dodik and the authorities of the BiH entity RS, which have suspended the BiH Constitution and the decisions of the High Representative in Republika Srpska, is worrying.
NES is exclusively against the adoption of the law on the BiH Constitutional Court in the form announced by the current authorities. We believe that at this moment, the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights should be implemented as a priority, and the adoption of this law should be abandoned, and that this issue, especially the status of foreign judges, should be resolved in accordance with the BiH Constitution and as the last condition for full membership in the European Union, and to decisively and uncompromisingly reject any pressure from all domestic and international political actors.
The NES Presidency believes that the reform of the election legislation must apply to the entire territory of the country, and its focus must be on strengthening the integrity of the electoral process and eliminating discrimination in accordance with the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
They welcome the latest judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, which are very welcome at this moment and should be fully implemented, as they are in line with European values and the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, which is an integral part of the constitutional and legal system of our country.
