DF Presidency: Dodik is destroying the state and the BiH Prosecutor's Office must arrest him and preserve peace

(Patria) - At today's session, the Presidency of the Democratic Front adopted the following conclusions:

- The Democratic Front believes that Milorad Dodik's decision to sign unconstitutional decrees, by which the Republika Srpska entity is attempting to ban the work of security agencies such as SIPA and other state institutions, constitutes a coup d'état and a secessionist attack on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- The aforementioned institutions, in accordance with the Dayton Peace Agreement and its provisions, were formed by decisions not only of entity parliamentary bodies but also by decisions of the state parliament with the broadest possible political consensus; therefore, their operation cannot be suspended without the same consensus.

- The Dayton Agreement, which foresaw and enabled their formation in this manner, has been unilaterally and violently attacked by the Republika Srpska entity, which entails extreme consequences, and all responsibility for the circumstances and relations that will follow in Bosnia and Herzegovina lies with the author of such an unconstitutional and terrorist decision, Milorad Dodik.

- The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, given the urgency of the situation, must without further delay utilize all available mechanisms and, by force of law, arrest the individuals who have jeopardized the constitutional order and peace in the country. The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has no room for any hesitation regarding the issuance of an order to the relevant state institutions for arrest, before the unfolding of extra-institutional events leads to a complete escalation.

- The first-instance decision of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerns only Milorad Dodik, not the entire entity or people. No individual, not even Milorad Dodik, must or can be above the Constitution and the law.

- We call on all citizens, especially the citizens of the Republika Srpska entity, not to subordinate their personal safety, peace, and future to Milorad Dodik's conflict with the Constitution and the law. We call on all conscientious citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who understand that preserving the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is our collective priority, both as citizens and as individuals, to unite and exercise maximum vigilance until the end of the constitutional crisis caused by the attack on the state and its constitutional and institutional framework.
