DF Presidency: We call on the 'Trojka' not to elect Marin Vukoja as judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH

(Patria) - The Presidency of the Democratic Front held its regular session in Sarajevo today, at which the following conclusions were reached:

"We appeal again to the representatives of the 'Trojka' not to elect Marin Vukoja as a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH, without a single day of judicial experience. The only reference he brings for this appointment is that he is Dragan Čović's candidate and that he was on the HDZ list for delegate in the House of Peoples! Let the representatives declare themselves on the entire list of candidates who passed the competition procedure, guided by the criteria of professionalism and experience in judicial institutions.

The 'Trojka' gathered around SNSD and HDZ has not fulfilled its promise that Bosnia and Herzegovina will gain accession negotiations for membership in the EU in 2023. They have not implemented the European laws that they themselves promised and signed to adopt in the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

State authorities have not adopted: the Law on Courts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest, the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism, the Agreement with the FRONTEX Agency which monitors the security of the EU's external borders, and the state Program for the adoption of the acquis (EU legal acquis). Therefore, the European Commission has not yet given a recommendation to Bosnia and Herzegovina to open negotiations," the conclusions state.

At the session, the Central Election Headquarters was also appointed, which will be led by Albin Zuhrić. The main task of the CEH is to prepare the Democratic Front for the Local Elections in BiH, which will be held in October 2024."
