DF Presidency: 25 years after independence, BiH is in its biggest crisis

The DF Presidency discussed the current political situation in the country at today's session in Sarajevo. Twenty-five years after gaining independence, BiH is currently in its biggest political, economic, and social crisis. This situation has been caused by the current government, which has been producing constant crises and spreading fear among the citizens of this country.

This is how everything that happened and is happening after the submission of the Request for Revision of the judgment of the International Court of Justice should be viewed. The position of the Democratic Front is that this is exclusively a legal and moral issue, and in no way political. Unfortunately, we are witnessing this case being politicized to such an extent that it has practically jeopardized the functioning of the state, Patria reports.

The Democratic Front will continue to insist on unconditional respect for the constitution and laws and the building of systemic institutions that will ensure equality for all citizens throughout the entire territory of BiH.

The Democratic Front is determined to continue this fight, and in this regard, the Presidency has tasked the Club of Deputies in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament to initiate the procedure for convening an extraordinary session of the FBiH Parliament on the topic: "Illegal employment in public companies in the Federation of BiH."

The working group of the DF Presidency for the implementation of the party's presidency conclusions, at today's session, reported on the process of establishing new party commissions throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The results show that despite all the turbulence the party has gone through since the municipal elections, the "defections" of some elected councilors and aldermen, exceptional media and pressure from some parties, primarily SDA, on the work of the Democratic Front and the belittling of its significance as an alternative to the government that is leading us all to ruin – citizens' trust in us and the programmatic direction we are taking is growing.

Currently, in Republika Srpska, we have ten organizations, two regional Commissions, and we are on our way to establishing them in Prnjavor, Srbac, Bijeljina, and Teslić.

In the Federation of BiH and the Brčko District, 69 municipal and city commissions have been constituted so far, and organizational units are being formed in Živinice, Kalesija, Sapna, Teočak (TK), Orašje (PK), Stolac and Neum (HNK), Žepče and Usora (ZE-DO), and Ustikolina (BPK).

At this moment, the Democratic Front is organizationally active in 79 municipalities and cities, and in the last municipal elections, we were present in 63 municipalities and cities.

The Presidency expressed satisfaction with the achieved results at today's session and thanked the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their trust.

In the next period, the already initiated re-registration of members and the formation of Cantonal and City Commissions will follow. Learning from mistakes made in the preparation for the municipal elections, the criteria for admission to membership, as well as for the selection of leaders who will manage the party at the grassroots level, have been strengthened.

The DF Presidency today also discussed and adopted the Report on the work of the Political Academy for 2016 and the Work Plan for the current year.

The Presidency also discussed and adopted the Report on the work of the Democratic Front's Negotiation Team today.
