Presidency grants approval for opening of Albanian Embassy in BiH

(Patria) - The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina held its 20th regular session in Sarajevo today.

The BiH Presidency passed a Decision granting approval for the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in BiH.

The BiH Presidency passed a Decision to extend the mandate of members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Union Training Mission in the Central African Republic.

The BiH Presidency made a decision to donate - transfer armaments, ammunition, and mine-explosive devices of the BiH Armed Forces.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed a Decision to accept the amendments to the Statute of the United Nations World Tourism Organization and its annex - Financial Rules.

The BiH Presidency took note of the Information from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the issue of categorizing the Bosanska Gradiška - Stara Gradiška border crossing.

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is tasked to, within its competencies and working bodies, ascertain that, according to the valid Agreement on Border Crossings between BiH and Croatia, the Bosanska Gradiška Border Crossing is categorized as a border crossing with accompanying inspection services, and to insist on this status of the crossing on the Croatian side in negotiations with Croatian authorities.

The BiH Presidency passed a Decision to grant approval for the conclusion and designate signatories of the Memorandum of Understanding on Economic Cooperation between BiH and Cuba.

The BiH Presidency passed a Decision to accept the agreement and designate signatories of the Agreement between the European Union, on the one part, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the other part, on the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Employment and Social Innovation Programme (EaSI), European Social Fund (ESF+).

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina took note of the Information from the Ministry of Security on the situation in the area of migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023 and for the first three months of 2024.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed a Decision to accept the agreement and designate signatories of the Protocol between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania on the implementation of the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Community on the readmission of persons residing without authorization.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed a Decision to grant approval for the conclusion and designate signatories of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) and the Representative Office of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed decisions on ratification:

- The International Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the "Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values" (CERV) programme 2021 - 2027;

- The Grant Agreement of the Trust Fund No. TFOB8258 Bosnia and Herzegovina: Grant for the Emergency Preparedness and Response Project, between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development;

- Acts of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) adopted at the 27th Universal Postal Union Congress, held in Abidjan in 2021, Ivory Coast;
- The Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Italy on Economic Cooperation;

- The Financing Agreement for the Interreg VI-B IPA Adriatic-Ionian Programme (ADRION) for the period 2021 - 2027, between the European Union, represented by the European Commission, Bosnia and Herzegovina, represented by the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republic of Italy, represented by the Emilia-Romagna region;

- Amendment No. 3 to the Financing Agreement concluded between Bosnia and Herzegovina (borrower), Republika Srpska, and the European Investment Bank (bank) on December 27, 2016, in Sarajevo and December 29, 2016, in Luxembourg and Banja Luka, and amended on December 2, 2019, and June 30, 2022 (Financing Agreement), FI No. 31 426 – SERAPIS No. 2010 - 0049) Hospitals in RS/B;

- The Agreement between the Republic of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro on the implementation of the "Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro 2021 – 2027" Programme;
- The Financing Agreement for the Interreg VI-A IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro 2021 - 2027;

- The Grant Agreement - Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) Grant (Co-financing of the Sava and Drina Corridors Integrated Development Programme using a multi-phase programming approach) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association, acting as the lead financial institution for the Western Balkans Investment Framework;

- The Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Italy on the mutual recognition in the area of exchange of driving licenses;

- The International Agreement between the European Union, on the one part, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the other part, on the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Union's Digital Europe Programme (2021 - 2027);

- The Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the IPA III Cross-border Cooperation Programme "Serbia - Bosnia and Herzegovina" for the period 2021 - 2027;

- The Financing Agreement for the Interreg IV-B IPA Programme for the Danube Region, for the period 2021 - 2027, between the European Union, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Hungary;

- The Agreement between the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) and non-EU countries on the participation of these countries in the Community's early information exchange arrangements in the event of a radiological emergency (ECURIE);

- The Global Convention on the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications;

- The Council of Europe Convention on Cinematographic Co-production (revised);

- Amendments to the Bilateral Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Compania Espanola de Seguros de Credito a la Exportacion, S.A., Cia de Seguros y Reaseguros S.M.E (CESCE), signed on October 11, 1999, on the rescheduling of Bosnia and Herzegovina's external debt;

- The Financing Agreement for the Re-establishment of the Joint Permanent Exhibition in Block 17 of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum;

- The Agreement between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU4Health Programme;

- The Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Nations Population Fund;

- The Loan Agreement (Geospatial Infrastructure Improvement and Property Valuation Project) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development;

- Amendments to the Loan Agreement and Republika Srpska Project Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (Bosnia and Herzegovina - Recovery and Support to Firms Project, Loan No. 9183-BA);

- Agreement No. 1 on Amendment to the Loan Agreement, signed on April 12, 2022 (GrCF2 W2 Sarajevo Public Transport e-Mobility) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development;

- Agreement No. 1 on Amendment to the Loan Agreement, signed on February 1, 2023 (GrCF2 W2 E2- Ilidža - Hrasnica Tram Line) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the patronage of the event "Sportsman of the Year", which will be organized by the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 18, 2024, in Sarajevo.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to participate in the World Government Summit in February 2025.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the invitation of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to participate in the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF 2025), from April 11 to 13, 2025.
